Basic Economics for the nth time
Taxing and spending does not create wealth.
"Printing money" for further government spending ALSO does not create wealth.
Wealth is created by businesses when they raise capital and invest, creating jobs and products.
Poverty is alleviated by wealth creation.
Why are these difficult concepts?
Oh, and btw - the cap-and-trade system (which caps CO2 emissions and requires companies to buy permits from the government to pollute) CANNOT create wealth. See sentence one, above.
Start building that lean-to in the woods. Hoarding ammunition, the only medium of exchange that will be worth crap, would also not be a bad idea.
